43rd Istanbul Book Fair Prepares to Open Its Doors with Record Participation

The International Istanbul Book Fair is preparing to open its doors in its 43rd year with record participation. More than 500 publishers will take part in this year's fair at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center; guest authors, translators and publishers from dozens of countries will meet readers in Istanbul.

A record turnout is expected

Throughout the fair, visitors can look forward to a rich program of talks, panels, book signings and workshops. The halls dedicated to children's and young adult publishing aim to draw even more young readers to the fair, as they do every year.

Event program

The fair's honorary author and theme will be announced at a press conference in the coming weeks. Publishers expect last year's attendance of over one million visitors to reach a new record this year.

Visitor information

The fair will be open on weekdays and weekends between 10:00 and 19:00. Admission is free for students, teachers and retirees.
