A Conversation on Literature and the Future with This Year's Honorary Author
We met with this year's honorary author while preparations for the fair were underway. They told us about the beginning of their writing journey, the publication of their first book, and the bond they have built with readers.
The writing journey
"Literature is the most honest conversation a person has with themselves and with others," the author said, emphasizing that book fairs are one of the rare meeting places that remove the distance between reader and writer.
The bond with readers
Later in the conversation, they shared advice for young writers: read widely, write regularly, and don't fear rejection. "Every text is braver than its author," they said, calling on young writers to keep creating.
Talk schedule
Our honorary author will take part in two talks during the fair and will meet readers at a book signing. Program details will be published in the event calendar.
