Book Signings

International Istanbul Book Fair Book Signings

Book signings are where readers meet the writers they follow, have a book signed and exchange a few words in person. Publishers host signing hours at their own stands throughout the fair.

They are among the busiest hours of the program. Over nine days, authors from hundreds of publishing houses take their seats at scheduled times — from first-time novelists to names readers have followed for decades.

Meet the Authors

See you at the book signings!

When do the book signings take place?

Signings run for the whole of the fair, 12 December – 20 December 2026, during opening hours at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center. Each day brings different authors, so it is worth checking the schedule before deciding which day to come.

Which authors will be there?

Publishers set their own signing hours and share them as the fair approaches. Confirmed names are announced on this page, on the fair home page and on our social media accounts. You can also see which publishers are taking part on the exhibitor list.

How do I follow the signing schedule?

Signing hours are published on this page and in the event program, which is updated during the fair as new sessions are added. Checking it the evening before your visit is the safest way to avoid a missed hour.

Current Signing Schedule

All author meetings are listed in the event program.

Event Program

What can you do at a signing?

  • Bring a book from home or pick one up at the publisher's stand.
  • Have it signed and dedicated, and ask the question you came with.
  • Discover writers you have not read yet — many readers leave with a book they had not planned to buy.
  • Work out the distance between halls on the floor plan so you can make more than one signing in a day.

Where are the signings held?

Signings take place at the publishers' stands inside Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. Check the venue and travel page for directions, and the floor plan to find the stand before you set off.

What to keep in mind

  • Queues build up for well-known authors; arriving a little early helps.
  • Some publishers limit how many books one reader can have signed.
  • Hours can change at short notice, so check the latest schedule.
  • Weekday mornings are calmer than weekend afternoons.

Is the fair only about signings?

Not at all. Talks, panels and workshops run in parallel — see the event program for the full picture, or read about the fair for what the nine days cover.

Frequently asked questions about book signings
